EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Does emotion have any place in the corporate world? You bet it does! In fact, it is believed that Emotional Intelligence is one of the best indicators of success in the workplace. It is, however, something that needs to be nurtured and developed in order to reach optimum performance and usefulness.

Management must not only be able to use facts and figures to manage staff, but there must be a side that includes Emotional Intelligence that helps drive managerial performance. Employees can read their manuals and understand company rules and regulations, but when it comes to emotional events, whether they be conflicts or high-fives, managers need to be capable of using emotional competencies to the benefit of all involved.

Whether one-on-one, or in groups, Dr. Gene Ference, President, can include points on Emotional Intelligence that will prove invaluable to management. Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management are all aspects of EI that can help in overcoming challenges and aid in achieving outstanding performance in management and staff.
